Fresh Air

It was a pretty brutal winter.  I like winter.  I like it a lot.  But it even began to wear on me.  Work has been really, truly challenging lately and the combination hasn’t resulted in my best ever behavior, attitudes, etc.

Today was almost 70.  Nathanael and daddy went to the “new park” (not our normal park).  Then Nathanael and I met one of his friends for a play date.  It was really neat to see how truly excited he was.  He demonstrated some real little boy behaviors.  He was running around like a mad man (he usually takes a while to warm up to new parks) and I think he was showing off a bit for his friend.

We usually have play dates with his male friends so this was a bit new but it was fine.  They eventually loved hanging together and had a good time.  I think the thing in school is to talk about play dates because the kids seem to have elaborate stories about who they are inviting over, what they are doing etc.  It’s pretty interesting.  Anyway, N was very happy and I loved seeing the smile on his face.

Life around the house is hectic but hopefully, work will change (or I will find new work).  I just don’t want to miss all of this wonderful time with N and am so fearful that I am loosing out on precious time.
