Mother’s Day

I had a lovely Mother’s Day.  While last year at the time I was a mom who’s son was still in Guatemala; this year I got to experience the joy first hand.  Joe and N got me starbucks this morning and that made me so happy.  We had bruch with my mom/dad/sister/brothers/nephews etc.  It very nice.  Joe and Nathanael gave me a great picture frame and I am so excited to a photo of N and me in it.  N gave me a big hug this morning which made me so happy.

On the other news front, N continues to thrive and do well.  We are def getting a hardcore preview of the 2’s some days and it’s scaring me a bit.  On Friday his report from daycare said “a bit wild today, he bit someone yesterday and today.  The scratch on his face is from the fence in the playground he tried to climb. ”  Ugh.  I love our daycare and I am so thankful that they are patient when N is on a rampage.

N’s favorite word lately is owie.  Everything is owie.  I think he likes the way it sounds.  He also likes the word ouch.  He can’t pronounce it, but when I say it he laughs quite a bit.  N continues to be quite the card and he loves to laugh.  He’s also developing into quite a neat-nic.  Clearly, it’s in his DNA vs a cultural trait. 🙂
