A step forward (maybe)

I heard from the agency today that the birth mother interview and DNA test was scheduled for 1/16.  We have not received confirmation if this happened so hopefully it did.  It would be rare for it not to have happened but you just never know – people get sick, things happen etc.

I wish I had known in advance but, we know something now and that’s what I’ll focus on.

If it happened, we should get DNA test results back in 2 to 2.5 weeks.  From there, we wait to exit family court and get pre-approval for the US embassy.

Well, at least you heard SOMETHING. Again, I can only say that I so sympathize with being at the mercy of …. a whole lot of people…facilitators, agencies, govt. , state, etc. If only every person hoping, or not, to have a family had to go through this. OK, ranting here, but just know we are in your corner,
