Visit Trip

So, we are on the last night of our visit trip and it has been truly wonderful.  Joe is down getting a massage which he well deserves – he’s been changing some ugly diapers and just been the baby whisperer.  I’m laying next to a sleeping baby who is about 14 lbs but can snore pretty darn good.  Little E has the sweetest personality and is very kind hearted.  He is no trouble what so ever.  We both feel so fortunate to have taken this trip.

I think there are only two downsides to the visit trip:

  1. Saying goodbye.  Tomorrow we plan to have brunch with the foster family and saying good by to Little E is going to be very, very hard.
  2. The process.  Before we knew him and “got” him, it was less real.  Now that we know him and he’s put a spell on us – the rest of the process is going to feel long, I fear.

None the less, it is well worth the pain since the last few days we have spent have been truly wonderful.
